Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 11 August 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PhaseMate LLC ("PhaseMate," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our mobile application and website (together, the "Service").
PhaseMate is a menstrual cycle tracking application for individuals and couples. Because the Service handles information about your reproductive health, we have written this policy to be specific about what we collect and who we share it with.
By using the Service, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication identifiers. If you sign in using Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides, which may be a private relay email address.
Health and cycle information
This is the core data the Service is built around. Depending on which features you use, we may collect:
- Period start and end dates
- Cycle length and calculated cycle phase
- Symptoms, moods, and notes you choose to log
- Your stated goal for using the app (for example, general tracking, trying to conceive, avoiding pregnancy, or reducing relationship friction)
This information is provided by you voluntarily. The Service cannot function without cycle dates.
Partner information
PhaseMate allows two users to link accounts so that one partner can view the other's cycle information. Linking requires an explicit action by both people. If you link with a partner, the partner you link with will be able to see cycle and phase information from your account.
We require that you obtain your partner's consent before linking accounts or using the Service to track another person's cycle. You may unlink at any time.
Purchase information
When you subscribe, we collect your subscription status, plan type, trial status, purchase and renewal dates, and transaction identifiers. We do not collect or store your credit card number, bank details, or other payment credentials — these are handled entirely by Apple, Google, or Stripe, depending on where you subscribe.
Device and usage information
We and the third-party services listed below collect:
- Device identifiers and advertising identifiers
- App version, operating system, and device type
- Push notification tokens
- In-app activity, such as screens viewed and features used
- Approximate location (city or region level), derived from your IP address. We do not collect GPS or precise location.
- Crash and performance diagnostics

- Provide cycle tracking, predictions, and phase-based content
- Enable partner linking and shared cycle visibility
- Create and manage your account and subscription

- Understand how the app is used so we can improve it

4. Data Security
We protect your information using encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS for all data transmitted between your device and our servers), encryption at rest, access controls limiting who can access production data, and authentication requirements for account access.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information from our active systems, though residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
9. Children's Privacy
PhaseMate is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@phasemateapp.com.
10. Health Disclaimer
PhaseMate is a tracking and educational tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. PhaseMate must not be used as a method of contraception or to prevent pregnancy. Cycle predictions are estimates based on the information you enter and may be inaccurate. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your health.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice, such as an in-app message or an email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
